Cookie Monster Bash

Join WXXI Kids for A Day with Cookie Monster as we celebrate Sesame Street's 50th anniversary!

WXXI and Central Library invite you to a special event featuring our favorite cookie-loving muppet - Cookie Monster! On Saturday, November 2^nd, join us at the Central Library as we celebrate 50 years of Sesame Street. There will be a Cookie Monster meet and greet, hands-on activity stations, community organizations, photo opportunities, take-home activity ideas, and so much more!

• Who: Families with young children
• Where: Central Library - 115 South Avenue, Rochester, NY (Bausch & Lomb building)
• When: Saturday, November 2, 2019 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Other important event information:

• Cookie Monster will be at the event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and he will need to take some cookie and milk breaks throughout the day.
• Due to the popularity of our cookie-loving friend, the line to meet Cookie may be long.
• Stick around to dance to your favorite Sesame songs! Join us for a special Sesame Street Dance Party starting at 3 p.m.
• Join us in Kate Gleason Auditorium for “Sunny Days” sing-a-longs throughout the day.
• No other Sesame Street characters will be at this event.
• All event activities will take place on the first and second floors of the Central Library. We will have volunteers and printed guides to help you find all of the activities.
• Parking is available in the Court Street Garage (connected to the library), South Avenue Garage (located across the street from the library), and on the street.
