A stunning half-hour documentary about the world premiere of “Natural History,” the powerful new composition by Michael Gordon inspired by and performed at Oregon’s breathtaking Crater Lake.

Symphony for Nature documents an extraordinary musical experience at the edge of Oregon's Crater Lake, known as giiwas to the Klamath Tribes. More than 130 musicians - including classical musicians and Klamath drummers - gathered at Crater Lake National Park to perform the world premiere of a powerful new score, "Natural History," inspired by the legendary lake. Symphony for Nature: The Britt Orchestra at Crater Lake airs Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at 10:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV.
