BSO 360

Fri, 03/22/2019 - 8:30pm - 9:00pm

This series captures the spirit of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the people who make the internationally renowned ensemble a treasure in Boston and throughout the world.

Produced by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the five-part series airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m., beginning on Friday, March 22, 2019 on WXXI-TV. The series invites viewers to learn about interesting backstories that frame the day-to-day lives of the BSO’s world-class musicians in an approachable and entertaining way. The first episode features a candid conversation with Music Director Andris Nelsons about how his earliest years growing up in Latvia led him to the world stage. The BSO is shown as an evolving, vital organization through a vibrant discussion with two artists at the opposite ends of their careers — second-year violinist Danny Kim and veteran bass player Larry Wolfe (now in his 47th year).
