Nature Fest

Nature Fest

Sat, 04/27/2019 - 10:00am - 2:00pm

WXXI Kids, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and our partners invite families and people of all ages to come out to Seneca Park to explore nature!

What: Join us in the Seneca Park for a day of family fun! Participate in nature walks, make observations about nature for a WXXI’s Nature Challenge and the Seneca Park Zoo’s City Nature Challenge, do natural arts & crafts, and meet PBS KIDS Nature Cat! We’ll also be learning what citizen science is, how it helps inform local issues, and showing how families can participate in simple citizen science projects.

Where: Seneca Park - 2222 St. Paul Street, Rochester, NY 14621 -- Seneca Park map

When: Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Note: Since we'll be spending time outdoors, please come dressed appropriately for the weather. Some of the activities will be outside, some will be inside, but there will be limited space indoors. Also, since we'll be taking families on guided nature walks with experts, please wear appropriate footwear - coats, gloves, hats, sneakers, hiking boots, winter boots, etc.
