If you’d rather cheer for love instead of touchdowns on February 3rd, WXXI-TV has just the thing for you.

Enjoy an afternoon of great dramas. Our pre-game show, I Hate Jane Austen, kicks off the day at 11 a.m. As the author of Pride & Prejudice and numerous other classics, Jane Austen is among history’s literary giants. But British columnist Giles Coren can’t stand her writing. Can others convince him he is wrong? Coren ventures out to meet academics and super-fans to see if they can get him to put aside his pride and prejudice.

Then at 12 Noon, WXXI-TV presents six back-to-back episodes of BBC’s Pride and Prejudice, the award-winning adaptation of Jane Austen's classic Regency romance starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. We’ll take a break for PBS NewsHour and New York Now from 6-7 p.m. and then bring you part one of The Queen Mother at 7 p.m., a moving profile that reveals the inside story of the Queen Mother’s tumultuous life, from royal power struggles to the darkness of World War Two. It will be followed by episodes three and four of Victoria, Season 3 at 8 p.m.

WXXI-TV ends the big day with the fiery romance of Heathcliff and Cathy in Emily Bronte’s classic love story Wuthering Heights at 10 p.m.
