Peg + Cat "The Polka Dot Planet Problem"

Thu, 01/17/2019 - 6:00am - 6:30am

Peg needs help from a new friend who is different from herself.

When Peg’s space ship breaks down, she needs the help of a new friend who communicates without speaking. The Polka Dot Planet Problem airs Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 6 a.m. on  WXXI-TV.

Peg + Cat, a PBS KIDS animated preschool series, follows the adorable, spirited Peg and her sidekick Cat as they embark on adventures and learn foundational math concepts and skills. Co-creators Billy Aronson (Rent, Postcards from Buster) and Jennifer Oxley (Little Bill, The Wonder Pets!) have teamed with The Fred Rogers Company to bring young viewers a new way to experience math through Peg and Cat’s relatable, and often hilarious, adventures.

This  program is part of Dialogue on Disability, a partnership between WXXI and Al Sigl Community of Agencies designed to stimulate community dialogue about the perspectives and abilities of people with physical and intellectual disabilities. During the week-long initiative, which runs January 14 through January 20, 2019 WXXI presents special programming on TV, radio, and at the Little Theatre.

Dialogue on Disability is made possible through support from the Fred L. Emerson Foundation. The partnership between WXXI and Al Sigl Community of Agencies is supported by the Golisano Foundation and Move to Include, a project designed to build a more inclusive community by inspiring and motivating people to embrace different abilities and include all people in every aspect of community life.
