It's Family Movie Night! Jumping from the pages of beloved children's books, comes The Gruffalo, the Gruffalo's Child, Stick Man & Room on the Broom! See these specials on Friday, Saturday or Sunday at 7pm on WXXI Kids 24/7. The Gruffalo: This film tells the story of a mouse who walks through the woods in search of a nut. Mouse invents an imaginary monster. What happens when Mouse comes face-to-face with his own creation?
The Gruffalo's Child: One snowy night, the Gruffalo's Child ignores her father's warning and goes in search of the Big Bad Mouse. He doesn't really exist? or does he?
Stick Man: This beloved children's classic written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, is turned into this beautifully animated film tells the tale of Stick Man and his epic adventure across the seasons. He gets thrown into a river, escapes from a swan's nest, and even ends up on top of a fire. Will he ever get back to his family tree in time for Christmas?
Room on the Broom tells a tale of a kind witch who invites a collection of animals to join her on her broom, much to the frustration of her cat. When the witch encounters a dragon, her animal friends come to her rescue. To show her gratitude, the witch rewards them with a new broom with room for everyone!
