WXXI Education's Teacher Open House

WXXI's Education Department invites PreK-12th grade teachers and school professionals to an evening of learning and networking!

Join our Education Department for a Teacher Open House on Thursday, October 5 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at WXXI's studio (280 State Street) as they share educational support materials from public media. Teachers will explore free resources from PBS, PBS LearningMedia and local partners. A special emphasis will be put on sharing tools from the popular PBS KIDS children's series – Splash and Bubbles, which encourages children to explore the natural undersea world.

The purpose of the Open House is to share learning tools from PBS, as well as local content and resources from the Greater Rochester Area with teachers so they can integrate them into their classrooms. Teachers will have a chance to meet and chat with some of WXXI Education’s partners, such as local organizations and other educational groups, who will be showcasing classroom-ready tools and resources available for use with students. They will also have the chance to meet the Splash and Bubbles ocean duo, who are in town for WXXI's Splash and Bubbles Family Event on October 7th.  

WXXI Education's Open House is open to PreK-12^th grade teachers and school staff in WXXI's viewing area. It is free, but registration is required. Register here.
