WXXI presents a sneak peek at PBS Fall Festival programming coming to WXXI-TV this fall including video clips from "Hamilton's America" and 8 other programs.

The event, held on Monday, October 17 from 7pm to 9pm at the Little Theatre (240 East Avenue), is free and open to the public. It will be followed by a discussion with Geva Theatre Center's Artistic Director Mark Cuddy and his son Gus, who has been in the acting program at Fordham in Lincoln Center and is now acting on the Geva stage, and WXXI News' Veronica Volk. Robert Hammond, host of Stage Notes on Classical 91.5 will moderate.

WXXI-TV premieres its sixth annual PBS Arts Fall Festival on Friday, October 21, with host Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator and star of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton. The PBS Arts Fall Festival underscores PBS’ ongoing commitment to give audiences the best seats in the house to watch arts performances on air and online. The festival presents diverse artists and performances from across the country, including programs from Great Performances and  Live From Lincoln Center, as well as the specials  Bill Murray: The Mark Twain Prize, and Alan Cumming Sings Snappy Songs.

Hamilton's America follows the creation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s pop culture Broadway phenomenon Hamilton and the history behind it. Interviews with Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, Nas, Questlove, Stephen Sondheim and more. At the PBS Fall Festival Screening Event you'll have a chance to see specially selected clips from the film. The full broadcast of Hamilton's America premieres on Friday, October 21 at 9 p.m. on WXXI-TV.
