A holiday tradition for more than four decades, The Christmas Revels is a joyful theatrical celebration of the winter solstice that travels the world each year showcasing cultural traditions including music, dance, folktales and rituals.

The Christmas Revels: In Celebration of the Winter Solstice 2015 airs on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 12pm on Classical 91.5.

This year's story is set in a Welsh mining village in a time not too distant from that described in Dylan Thomas' A Child's Christmas in Wales, but the story also leaps into the distant past, to access the world of Celtic legend and song as performed bya talented 80-member ensemble of adults and children! Expect beautiful music, harmoniuos Welsh carols, wild Morris dancing, familiar rounds, and at least one dragon.
