In this one-hour special, investigative journalist and public radio producer Audrey Quinn gathers elected officials, tax experts, and individual citizens to explore the grand experiment that is the U.S tax system. Taxed Off examines how three state governors changed the tax codes in their states, looks at how state taxes are used to woo new residents, examines how corporate taxes affect American businesses abroad and tax revenue at home, explains how state and federal income taxes affect American families, and explores possible changes to the system. Taxed Off airs Sunday, April 5, 2015 at 9 p.m. on AM 1370.
