The death of the first United States-diagnosed Ebola patient has heightened concerns about Ebola across the country.  

In an effort to gain a better understanding about this infectious disease and to give audiences a chance to have their questions answered Second Opinion, produced by WXXI, the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), and West 175 Productions, presents a live call-in radio show.

On Friday, October 17 at 1 p.m. on AM 1370 , WRUR-FM 88.5, WEOS-FM 89.5 and online at, Second Opinion’s Elissa Orlando invites travel medicine doctor and vaccine expert Mark Shelly, MD from the University of Rochester Medical Center in studio for Second Opinion LIVE “Ebola”, where he'll share his expertise and answer questions about Ebola from people calling in or tweeting. Listeners can call in their question at 1-844-295-TALK (8255) and online viewers watching the radio show at can tweet their questions using the hashtag #2ndOp.

Second Opinion is the only regularly scheduled health series on public television.
