High Falls Business Summer Jam

High Falls Business Summer Jam

Thu, 08/14/2014 - 12:10pm - 1:00pm

Come out and cheer for these “not ready for prime time” jammers, where on group will claim the Crowd Favorite!

Our final concert of the season will be made up of musicians from businesses in High Falls area. Earlier this summer, we invited local businesses to pull together their own band. House bands including Honky Tonk, Country, Pop, and Jazz, made up of business folks from High Falls and throughout the city, where one will claim the Crowd Favorite:

Hankerin' Harry and the Honky Revival (also known as the City Billies)

*The High Fallen (WXXI)

Dylan Moore (Greentopia)

Cheri's Jam and Eggs (Hochstein)

*That's right, WXXI has its own band! Classical 91.5 hosts Brenda Tremblay, Julia Figueras, and Mona Seghatoleslami, plus Innovation Trail Editor Matthew Leonard, Reachout Radio Producer Maureen Rich, Station Publicist Kristin Tutino, and co-op student Luiz Rosario have come together to form The High Fallen.

The High Falls Business Association has once again teamed up with the Hochstein School of Music & Dance and WXXI to present Hochstein at High Falls, a noontime summer concert series. The series includes ten outdoor concerts Thursday afternoons at 12:15pm during June, July and August. Weather permitting, they will be held in the Granite Mills Park near the Pont de Rennes Bridge.

We'll have pizza (to the first 50 people), drinks, and dessert, but feel free to bring your bag lunch! Attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating. Each performance runs approximately 45 minutes.
