Little Free Library

Little Free Library

Library open during WXXI’s business hours, M-F 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Have you heard of the Little Free Library program? It’s a “take a book, return a book” gathering place where neighbors share their favorite literature and stories. In its most basic form, a Little Free Library is a box full of books where anyone may stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share.

In an effort to promote literacy and the love of reading, WXXI is proud to have its own Little Free Library, located in the lobby of our studios at 280 State Street in downtown Rochester. Special thanks to WXXI volunteer Mark Becker, who designed and built our own Little Library, and WXXI Volunteer Leadership Council Chairman Richard Vuillequez, who provide funds to purchase the materials for the structure. So, the next time you’re in the neighborhood, stop by for a book.  To learn more about the project, visit littlefreelibrary.org
