Thu, 11/10/2016 - 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Production photography by Peter Williams

From the deserts of Afghanistan to rural Tennessee, from Iraq to New York City, we watch these women wrestle with prosthetics, homelessness, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Military Sexual Trauma.

SERVICE, Re-airs: Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 8am and 2 p.m on WXXI World (aired Wedneday, November 9, 2016 at 7 p.m.-8pm on WXXI World), portrays the courage of several women veterans as they transition from active duty to their civilian lives. We see the horrific traumas they faced, their invisible as well as physical injuries and all their challenges in receiving benefits and care. We follow them through the large and small accomplishments they work mightily to achieve.
