Researchers continue to investigate new ways of understanding and diagnosing Alzheimer’s, yet, to date, there is no treatment proven to stop or even slow the process of Alzheimer’s.

Without a cure or more effective medicine, Alzheimer's Disease can be a "march to oblivion" that unfolds over several decades.  How can patients and family members approach this journey to maximize quality of life and focus on the capabilities rather than deficits? Second Opinion: Living With Alzheimer's airs Thursday, June 12 at 8:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV.

Second Opinion is made possible in part by support from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), which has been the major funder since the series’ inception in 2004.
