Sun, 05/15/2011 - 11:00am - 5:00pm
Does your child love trains and PBS Kids Dinosaur Train? Then you won't want to miss this special event!
WXXI and the New York Museum of Transportation (NYMT) are proud to present Dinosaur Train Day at the NYMT grounds (6393 East River Road, West Henrietta, NY) on Sunday, May 15, 2011 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The event will highlight the historical transportation resources of the museum while featuring activities based on the PBS Kids series Dinosaur Train.
Throughout the day kids will enjoy trolley rides, Dinosaur Train crafts, having their picture taken in front of a 6-foot tall free-standing Dinosaur Train standee, watching an all-NEW episode of Dinosaur Train, and collecting Dinosaur Train giveaways.
Enjoy all these Dinosaur Train activities with your museum admission. Admission tickets including the trolley rides are sold at the museum gift shop. Admission rates for the museum's opening day (May 15) is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 students 3 through 15. To learn more about the museum, click here.

Thank you for your comments about the Dinosaur Train Day event. We always appreciate hearing what went well and what can be improved upon. We did request the Buddy the Dinosaur character for the Dinosaur Train Day event however because of limited availability for this date we were unable to secure one. Again, we value your comments and opinions because they help us evaluate how we communicate future event details with the general public.
I went to the Dinosaur Train

I went to the Dinosaur Train Day today and was a little disappointed that there weren't more Dinosaur Train related activities. There was one crowded table where kids could color a picture, make a conductor hat, or a puppet and also get a sticker or tattoo. Other than that, it was just a normal visit to the Train Museum, which we could have done any weekend. I was expecting perhaps, to see/meet costume characters.

very disapointed
that was the worst event i have ever taken my kids too. there was nothing about the show at all besides some coloring pages on a table. also there was no 6 foot anything, youn people had one small cardboard thing the my three yr old was taller then. If you guys are going to advertise something at least let it be true. also if it wasnt for the people that run the museum there would have been nothing to do for for the kids. as far as what was advertised about dinosaur train be you guys you made it sound great until we got there and it was awful. NOT A GOOD TIME.
