WXXI-FM Classical 91.5 Celebrates Women's History Month
Throughout March
Tune in to Classical 91.5 all month long for special Women's History Month programming.
March 8 marks the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, and Classical 91.5 Music Director and Midday host Julia Figueras has celebrated this on the radio for the last 25 of those years. This year, the Eastman School of Music Arts Leadership Program intern Kara LaMoure has culled some of our finest representations of women in music for an all-female four hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tune in March 8 at 10 a.m. for this 100th anniversary special on Classical 91.5/FM-HD91.5-1.
Throughout March all Classical 91.5 hosts will feature music composed and performed by women, and you'll hear some arts features highlighting the accomplishments of women.
