Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra
Tue, 03/08/2011 - 8:00pm
Join the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Tuesdays this March on Classical 91.5.
WXXI-FM brings listeners a new season of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra radio broadcasts – set to air on Classical 91.5/FM-HD 91.5-1 on Tuesdays at 8 p.m., beginning on March 8. The weekly two-hour program of concert performances by the Pittsburgh Symphony are hosted by Jim Cunningham, who introduces each performance and talks with several artists mid-program.
The 2010-2011 season opens with Manfred Honeck conducting Beethoven's Symphony No. 9. The season also features such world-class artists and conductors as Leonard Slatkin conducting Barber's Adagio for Strings; Anne-Sophie Mutter performing Brahms' Violin Concerto; and Mahler's "Symphony No. 3" conducted by Manfred Honeck and featuring the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh in the season-ending finale.
Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is produced by WQED-FM/Pittsburgh and is made possible with support from the Bayer Corporation and the musicians of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

who is playing
Why is it so hard to find out who is the soloist on this Brahnms Concerto?
Why do you make it so difficult to find out what is on right now?
Other classical stations do not have this problem, which is why I listen to WXXI less and less these days.
