As part of this outreach initiative, WXXI presents a variety of children's programs that deal with disability issues.

Arthur “Prunella Sees the Light/Return of the Snowball” airs 1/17 at 7 a.m., 1/18 at 4 p.m., 1/19 at 7 a.m., 1/21 at 4 p.m. and 1/22 at 8 a.m. on WXXI-TV/HD.

Prunella Sees the light - Prunella plans a sleepover for her friend Marina-who is blind.

Return of the Snowball - D.W's snowball reapears, but she must figure out how to keep it away from the thieves in case they  strike again.

Caillou “Getting the Message” airs 1/21 at 1 p.m. on WXXI-TV/HD. After Caillou makes freinds with Robbie, a deaf boy, he learns their are many other ways to communicate, such as sign language.

Barney & Friends “Things I Can Do and Differences” airs 1/18 at 12:30 p. m. WXXI- TV/HD.

Things I can do - Baby Bop isnt satisified with the things she can do, untill she realizes she has abilities to do other things.

Differences - A wheelchair-bound child is unintentionally neglected by his friends,untill Barney steps in.

Caillou “All Wet” airs 1/19 at 1 p.m. on WXXI- TV/HD. Caillou gets an introduction to what it means to be handicapped,when, at the pool, he meets Tammy a girl who happens to be in a wheelchair.


Clifford the Big Red Dog “Tie-Dye Clifford/Stage Struck” airs 1/19  at 11 a.m., 1/ 23 at 9:30 a.m., and 1/19 at 6 p.m. on WXXI-CREATE.

Tie-Dye Clifford - Clifford accidentally gives himself a bath with Tie-dye and tries to hide the truth from Emily.

Stage Struck - Mary has always been afraid to perfrom in front of an audience. But with the help and support from her friend Emily, Mary is able to overcome her stage fight. 


Curious George
“Grease Monkeys in Space/Pinata Vision” airs at 1/17 at 3 p.m., 1/ 21 at 8 a.m., and 1/19 at 7 p.m. on WXXI-CREATE.


Grease Monkeys in Space - George only has a few minutes to replace the telescope batteries in space, will George save the day, or will it turn into a space "Whoops".

Pinata Vision - George misses the Pinata and learns how to use only his sense of smell, touch and hearing to figure out where he is.


Sesame Street “The Amazing Alphabet Race” airs at1/19 at 10 a.m. and 1/23 at 7 a.m. on WXXI-TV/HD. Elmo has decided to play the Amazing Alphabet Race, hosted by Amazing Al, in order to prove how well he knows his ABC's.
