Tune in for parts 3 and 4 of this 4 part series as Orellana finds the Amazon and Cabeza de Vaca teaches respect for the natives.

Orellana failed to find the El Dorado but stumbled across the Amazon instead. Cabeza de Vaca was ship-wrecked off the coast of Texas and in 1528 and lived with the natives for eight years. Upon his return to Spain he wrote a book about his experiences. His tail is one of empathy and respect for the natives. Conquistadors "Search for El Dorado" and "All the World is Human" encores Friday, March 8, 2013 at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on WXXI World (cable 524/DT21.2).
