Civic Orchestra of Chicago on Classical 91.5
Civic Orchestra of Chicago on Classical 91.5
Wed, 02/17/2010 - 8:00pm - 9:00pm
Listen to the Civic Orchestra of Chicago perform works from Debussy and Respoghi.
Tune in to Classical 91.5/FM-HD91.5-1 on Wednesday, February 17 at 8 p.m. to hear The Civic Orchestra of Chicago perform Debussy's La Mer and Respoghi's The Pines of Rome. The orchestra is conducted by Cliff Colnot.
In its second century, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra enjoys an enviable position in the music world with performances greeted by enthusiastic audiences both at home and abroad. Two of the world's most celebrated conductors assumed titled positions with the Chicago Symphony in the 2006-2007 season. Eminent Dutch conductor Bernard Haitink is the Orchestra's principal conductor, and renowned French composer and conductor Pierre Boulez—previously the CSO's Helen Regenstein Principal Guest Conductor since 1995—furthers his long-standing relationship with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as its conductor emeritus. Together these maestros lead up to 14 weeks of CSO performances each season in Chicago and on domestic and international tours.
