Sun, 02/28/2010 - 10:00pm
This special offers compelling stories about individuals who have triumphed over extreme adversity.
A man tapes the history of his town with a scavenged cassette recorder, a woman fights for social justice with a pie, a DJ ignites his community with a sound. Tune in for Can Do: Stories of Black Visionaries, Seekers and Entrepreneurs Stories, airing Sunday, February 28 at 10 p.m. on AM1370/FM-HD 91.5-2.
This program is part of WXXI's special programming in honor of Black History Month. Throughout February WXXI-TV and Radio will present a variety of programs featuring the men and women who shaped the African-American experience. For a complete list of programs, and to learn more, visit WXXI.org/bh.
