This annual celebration of the season features Madrigalia, under the direction of Lee Wright.

Don't miss this holiday favorite, Live from Hochstein: A Cup of Good Cheer, airing Wednesday, December 8 at 12:10 p.m. on Classical 91.5. Hosted by WXXI's Chris Van Hof, this seasonal tradition features Madrigalia, under the direction of Lee Wright.

Founded in 1975, Madrigalia has built an extensive repertoire encompassing traditional and contemporary styles of secular and sacred choral literature from the Renaissance through the twenty-first century. The eighteen-member ensemble uses choral music as a powerful tool to communicate humor, sorrow, prayer, meditation, celebration and remembrance.

Live from Hochstein is the longest running live broadcast concert series in Western New York. Recorded live from Hochstein Performance Hall, 50 North Plymouth Ave. in Rochester, each of these free “brown bag” concerts runs from 12:10-12:50 p.m., giving downtown business people, teachers, families, students and friends an opportunity to enjoy classical music during their lunch hour.

Madrigalia

Looking forward to hearing Madrigalia today. My son sings with this group and it will be my first time hearing them.
