Brenda Tremblay discovers a new live classical series where admission costs just a can of food!
On Monday, November 16 between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. tune in to Classical 91.5 to hear how you can help feed people hit hard by the recession, and enjoy stellar performances from some Rochester’s best musicians. Classical 91.5 morning host Brenda Tremblay will talk with violist Carol Rodland, artistic director of If Music be the Food, a new concert series at St. Paul’s to benefit Foodlink. The concert is Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 25 Westminster Road, across the street from the George Eastman House. Admission is a can of food, a box of non-perishables, or donation to Foodlink. Bass-baritone Jan Opalach will sing Schumann’s Liederkreis. Rodland and friends will perform Mendolssohn’s Octet, Opus 20.
