This month we'll start in El Paso, Texas at the Plaza Theatre on July 3 and then hear an encore presentation of From the Top Rochester featuring young musicians and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra on July 24.

7/3        From El Paso’s Plaza Theatre we’ll feature a 15-year-old violinist Claire Wells from Plano, TX; 18-year-old harpist Adam Phan from Cedar Hill, TX; music by 17-year-old composer and pianist Karalyn Schubring from Gilbert, AZ and 17-year-old flutist Madison Fanning from El Paso, TX

7/10      This week’s special “Where Are They Now?” episode traces the lives of five different From the Top alums to learn how these young artists are negotiating their lives in their twenties.

7/17      From Hayes Hall in Naples, Florida, this show will celebrate Florida’s young musical talent with performances by local 14-year-old pianist Noah Waddell from Fort Meyers, Florida, and by 17-year-old oboist David Norville, also from Fort Meyers, Florida.

7/24      An encore presentation of From the Top Rochester with The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra under Music Director Ward Stare performing with 13-year-old Raymond Feng, from Pittsford, NY,  17-year-old clarinetist Alec Manasse from New York City, 15-year-old cellist Esther Yu from Rye, NY, as well as a composition by 16-year-old composer Benjamin Wenzelberg from Tenafly, NJ.  

7/31      From Louisville, Kentucky, we’ll feature a superb 17-year-old pianist from Brooklyn who wants to devote himself to the work of racially diversifying the world of classical music. We’ll also hear an entrancing performance of “Over the Rainbow” performed on marimba by the local teen percussionist, and the Louisville Youth Orchestra perform a brand new piece by American composer Christopher Theofanidis.
