Join American Experience for a virtual PAST FORWARD WHOSE WATER IS IT ANYWAY: inspired in part by the film, Flood in the Desert, now streaming in English and Spanish.

Panelists will discuss how historical water policies led to inequity, who should get to decide how water is used, the intense conflicts over water already brewing, and how to forward with more sustainable strategies before our most precious natural resource runs out.

Featured guests include:• Peter Gleick is a scientist, innovator and communicator on global water and climate issues.• Mami Hara is CEO, U.S. Water Alliance, a national nonprofit organization advancing policies and programs that build a sustainable water future for all.

The event will be moderated by Jessica Marie Johnson, Assistant Professor of History at The Johns Hopkins University.
