WXXI Kids has created a series of monthly activity calendars full of PBS KIDS hands-on activities to support your child's learning.
Watch On-Demand: In this hourlong special, the PBS NewsHour explores the burden costly child care places on families, takes viewers to cities and states experimenting with new ways of providing childcare for working parents, and delves into the political battle over federally funded, universal childcare.
ICYMI: Watch On-Demand WXXI Education on June 8, 2021 at 7 PM ET for the American Graduate: Path to the Future virtual launch event. This multi-year initiative, from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and The WNET Group, strives to help students explore and prepare for high-demand careers, including the 30 million open middle skill jobs that require a one-year occupational certificate or two-year associate degree. This school year will again look a little different so WXXI Education created a digital backpack and video to walk through some PBS KIDS and public media resources to help you and your students start the year strong!
Preschoolers and their families from coast-to-coast will take a trip to Animal Town this Labor Day with the premiere of the newest PBS KIDS series, Elinor Wonders Why. The animated show encourages children to follow their curiosity, ask questions, figure out the answers, and learn about the natural world around
Sesame Street in Communities (SSIC) builds on Sesame Street's 50-year commitment to address kids’ developmental, physical, and emotional needs.
In 2019, WXXI Public Broadcasting was selected as one of 10 local PBS stations across the nation to participate in a special Sesame Street in Communities Rural Outreach Initiative, funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. 
WXXI is honored to be one of 20 PBS stations across the nation participating in a special Sesame Street in Communities Public Media Champions project, funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The goal of this project is to continue to support our region's rural families and child care providers. 
Sesame Workshop continues its major commitment to racial justice with new resources and content called "Coming Together" to help families talk to young children about race and identity. 
Sesame Street in Communities provides a variety of resource types for grownups to use with young children - one type is digital storybooks. 
WXXI Education created a list of public media resources that are available in multiple languages.
Parenting Minutes is a series of short videos from the WNET Group/Channel THIRTEEN (WXXI's sister station serving New York City) that focuses on key topics related to early childhood learning and raising children.
