Parents and caregivers can join Bright by Text to get custom age specific texts for  their child (0-8 years old) through WXXI's partnership with Bright by Text, a national parent texting program, to put expert tips, games and child development information directly into the hands of parents and caregivers.

WXXI Kids has created a series of monthly activity calendars full of PBS KIDS hands-on activities to support your child's learning while at home.
Research has shown that introducing children to community helpers in a safe and fun environment can help them react better during times of crisis.

Preschoolers and their families from coast-to-coast will take a trip to Animal Town this Labor Day with the premiere of the newest PBS KIDS series, Elinor Wonders Why. The animated show encourages children to follow their curiosity, ask questions, figure out the answers, and learn about the natural world around
Sesame Street in Communities (SSIC) builds on Sesame Street's 50-year commitment to address kids’ developmental, physical, and emotional needs.
In 2019, WXXI Public Broadcasting was selected as one of 10 local PBS stations across the nation to participate in a special Sesame Street in Communities Rural Outreach Initiative, funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. 
WXXI is honored to be one of 20 PBS stations across the nation participating in a special Sesame Street in Communities Public Media Champions project, funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The goal of this project is to continue to support our region's rural families and child care providers. 
WXXI Education created a list of public media resources that are available in multiple languages.

PBS continues to provide programming on-air and on-demand regarding race, racism as resources for everyone to educate themselves and continue the conversation on all the ways that inequality in America shows up in everyday life.
