WXXI Kids has created a series of monthly activity calendars full of PBS KIDS hands-on activities to support your child's learning while at home.
ICYMI: Watch On-Demand WXXI Education on June 8, 2021 at 7 PM ET for the American Graduate: Path to the Future virtual launch event. This multi-year initiative, from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and The WNET Group, strives to help students explore and prepare for high-demand careers, including the 30 million open middle skill jobs that require a one-year occupational certificate or two-year associate degree. Preschoolers and their families from coast-to-coast will take a trip to Animal Town this Labor Day with the premiere of the newest PBS KIDS series, Elinor Wonders Why. The animated show encourages children to follow their curiosity, ask questions, figure out the answers, and learn about the natural world around
Sesame Street in Communities (SSIC) builds on Sesame Street's 50-year commitment to address kids’ developmental, physical, and emotional needs.
In 2019, WXXI Public Broadcasting was selected as one of 10 local PBS stations across the nation to participate in a special Sesame Street in Communities Rural Outreach Initiative, funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. 
WXXI is honored to be one of 20 PBS stations across the nation participating in a special Sesame Street in Communities Public Media Champions project, funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The goal of this project is to continue to support our region's rural families and child care providers. 
Sesame Workshop continues its major commitment to racial justice with new resources and content called "Coming Together" to help families talk to young children about race and identity. 
Sesame Street in Communities provides a variety of resource types for grownups to use with young children - one type is digital storybooks. 
WXXI Education created a list of public media resources that are available in multiple languages.
Learn how families of color counsel their kids to stay safe if they’re stopped by police.
PBS continues to provide programming on-air and on-demand regarding race, racism as resources for everyone to educate themselves and continue the conversation on all the ways that inequality in America shows up in everyday life.

Watch On-Demand: PBS KIDS Talk About: Race and Racism is a special co-viewing program for families with young children to watch and discuss together. 
WXXI Education and our partners hosted a special virtual Community Summit on Sesame Street in Communities and their set of tools around Health Emergencies. This is the archive of the panel discussion and follow-up resources from the event.
