Hear music from The Deutsche Welle Festival in Germany. This month's highlights include performances from the Munich Philharmonic, The Baltic Sea Youth Philharmonic, and the Borodin Quartet. 

3/4      A exciting concert including  Gubaidulina/Kremer: Reflections on B-A-C-H, Shostakovich/Zinmann:  Violin sonata, Shostakovich:  Piano Concerto No. 2, Gubaidulina:   So sei es (So Be It), and Shostakovich/Pushkarev: A Little Anti-Formalistic Paradise. Featured Musicians: Nurit Stark, violin; Alexander Suslin, double bass; Anna Vinnitskaya, piano; Cédric Pescia, piano; Taiko Saito, percussion; Alexei Mochalov, bass; Kremerata Baltica, violin; Gidon Kremer violin. and conductor.

3/11   The Baltic Sea Youth Philharmonic, led by Kiistjan Järvi performs  Mussorgsky: Night on Bald Mountain,  Grieg: Piano Concerto with Jan Lisiecki on piano, Sibelius: Karelia Suite, Gelgotas: Never Ignore the Cosmic Ocean, and Kalniņš: Rock Symphony 

3/18   The Borodin Quartet plays Myaskovsky: String Quartet No. 13, Galynin: String Quartet No. 2, Beethoven: String Quartet No. 16, and Shostakovich: String Quartet No. 14 

3/25  Semyon Bychkov leads the Munich Philharmonic in performance of  Dvořák: Carnival Overture, and Symphony No. 9, New World, and R. Strauss: Horn Concerto No. 2
