The Deutsche Welle Festival continues celebrating Beethoven in Germany this month with performances of four Beethoven Symphonies, the Beethoven Violin Concerto, and Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 18, The Hunt. 

2/4   Beethoven Symphonies III at the Beethovenfest, Bonn- Andris Nelsons continues the Beethoven celebrations conducting the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra as they perform Beethoven: Symphony No. 6, Pastoral, and Symphony No. 7. 

2/11   Beethoven Symphonies IV at the Beethovenfest, Bonn- Andris Nelsons appears at the Beethovenfest to close out the symphony marathon. The City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus and Orchestra, featuring soloists Annette Dasch, soprano, Lioba Braun, alto, Toby Spence, tenor, Vuyani Mlinde, bass, performs Beethoven: Symphony No. 8, and Symphony No. 9, Choral 

2/18    Beethovenfest Opening- Famous conductor John Eliot Gardiner leads the London Symphony Orchestra performing Mendelssohn: Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage, Symphony No. 5, Reformation, Scherzo from A Midsummer Night's Dream, Schumann: Cello Concerto, played by Gautier, Casals: Song of the Birds, and Beethoven:  Piano Sonata No. 18, The Hunt played on fortepiano by Elizaveta Miller.

2/25    Young Turks- The Bilkent Youth Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Işın Metin presents a concert featuring Beethoven: Excerpts from Symphony No. 9, a world premiere of Tolga Yayalar: Images of a Resistance, and Beethoven: Violin Concerto with Tobias Feldmann, a young and accomplished German violinist.
