Country Music

Ken Burns tells the story of Country Music in an eight-part series, premiering Sunday, September 15 on WXXI-TV. From its deep and tangled roots in ballads, blues and hymns performed in small settings, to its worldwide popularity, Country Music explores how country music evolved over the course of the twentieth century. In anticipation of the series WXXI celebrates this true American art form with special events and screenings throughout September.
