Homework Hotline

Backpacks, yellow buses, and a new season of "Homework Hotline" can only mean one thing.

School is back in session! Homework Hotline, our live, statewide education program, kicks off Monday, September 11 at 4:30 p.m. and airs Monday through Thursday throughout the school year. Designed for kids in grades 4-12, Homework Hotline is hosted by teachers from the Rochester City School District who are experts in subjects across the NYS curriculum.

The new school year is almost upon us

For most school districts in the Rochester area, classes start September 2nd. At the station that means a whole new season of Homework Hotline, our state-wide television series that offers homework help to students in grades 4-12 right over the air.

What will you learn from WXXI today?

As the kids go back to school this month, WXXI goes back to school with them. When you think of WXXI and our education efforts, our children’s TV line-up probably comes to mind.

WXXI's Open House was a great success!

If you were among the more than 2,500 people who attended WXXI’s Open House on Saturday, October 2nd, thank you for coming and I hope you enjoyed your visit.  We had a great turnout, with a line outside the door an hour before we opened, and a steady stream of visitors throughout the day.
