WXXI Loses a Good Friend

WXXI, the community and classical music recently lost a good friend.  On Sunday, March 9, retired Classical 91.5 host Mordecai Lipshutz passed away at the age of 64 following a long illness.

A Year for Radio Anniversaries

2014 marks a very special year for WXXI as Classical 91.5 celebrates its 40th anniversary and AM 1370 turns 30. You may have been among the visionary group of WXXI friends who helped to start these stations. Thank you for your continued support of our radio services that have expanded greatly in the past 40 years.

Public Radio Music Month

As April is upon us and it brings with it more than just the first hint of spring. April is also Public Radio Music Month  — a national campaign to help raise the visibility of the diverse music that can only be found on public radio. We are fortunate in our community to have two such stations: Classical 91.5 and WRUR 88.5.
