Let’s relax.  In the holidays to come, delights, gifts, and memories flood our lives, and with them come pressures and anxieties which make this a difficult season for many.

Music offers you a refuge from the bustle, a room where you can take off your coat and warm your hands to Wagner’s Magic Fire music or Bach’s passionate Goldberg variations.

This week, we’ll discover seasonal gems from the WXXI Holiday Songbook, including gorgeous cantatas you may have not yet encountered to carols already engraved on your heart.  You’ll also hear from two inspired leaders preparing for performances; Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Music Director Arild Remmeriet will preview the RPO’s classical holiday concert, and Rochester Oratorio Society Music Director Eric Townell willl reveal exciting news of a dynamic singer connected to ROS.

Thank you for listening weekday mornings on Classical 91.5.  It’s a joy to start the day with music and your company, especially during the holidays.
