Volunteer Recognition Reception ... are you attending?

If you haven't already registered to attend the Volunteer Recognition Event we are having here at WXXI on Sunday, April 15, please give us a call at (585) 258-0200. Here are the details again:

Sunday, April 15, at WXXI Studios, 280 State Street; 1pm reception just for volunteers prior to the film at 2 pm.

Reservations: membership@wxxi.org or call 258-0200. Space is limited.

WXXI’s Community Cinema invites you to a free screening of the award-winning Independent Lens film Hell and Back Again by Danfun Dennis, followed by a lively panel discussion.

Hell and Back Again reveals the devastating impact a Taliban machine-gun bullet has on the life of 25-year-old Sergeant Nathan Harris. The film seamlessly transitions from stunning war reportage to an intimate, visceral portrait of one man’s personal struggle at home in North Carolina where he has to learn to fight the pain, addiction, and the terrifying normalcy of life at home.

Thank you!

Thank you to all of you who came out yesterday to the Cultural Volunteer Reception. It was a pleasure talking with you and meeting some new volunteers as well!
