Classical 91.5 features local groups in holiday specials

Classical 91.5 is featuring lots of local groups this holiday season!

Wednesday 12/5 - 12:10 p.m. - Live from Hochstein features "Holiday for Horns" with the Eastman Horn Choir under the direction of Peter Kurau.

Sunday 12/9 - 1:00 p.m. - RPO Holiday Pops 2006. Join RPO Pops conductor Jeff Tyzik, the Festival High School Chorale and vocalist Steve Lippia for this annual holiday tradition. (Repeats 12/25 at 10:00 a.m.)

Wednesday 12/12 - 12:10 p.m.- Live from Hochstein features Madrigalia, under the direction of Roger Wilhelm for the annual "Cup of Good Cheer."

Friday 12/14 - 1:00 p.m. - Join host Julia Figueras as she welcomes Gregory Kunde and wife Linda Wojciechowski for Backstage Pass, featuring sacred songs for the season.

Monday 12/24 - 2:00 p.m. - RPO Messiah 2006. Simon Pontin hosts the 2006 concert of Handel's Messiah, performed by the RPO, Rochester Oratorio Society and guest soloists. (Repeats 12/25 at 8:00 p.m.)

Monday 12/24 - 8:00 p.m. - Christmas with Madrigalia. Roger Wilhelm leads Rochester's premiere chamber ensemble in Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s Midnight Mass for Christmas Eve, with Quartsemble.

Monday 12/24 - 11:00 p.m. - A Rochester Festival of Lessons & Carols. WXXI's Jeanne Fisher hosts the annual broadcast that features readings, anthems and Christmas Carols from Rochester's Third Presbyterian Church.
