Backstage Pass host Julia Figueras welcomes Sound ExChange Project in studio to perform and share their philosophy on how live concerts deepen the connection between performers and audiences. Backstage Pass with Sound ExChange Project airs Friday, October 31 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5.

Comprised of a flexible team of core artists who function in a variety of roles—as performers, composers, producers, curators, and educators—Sound ExChange serves as a platform for artists dedicated to exploring alternative ways of presenting and creating music to invigorate the concert experience.  The current ensemble is a contemporary performing group comprised of a string quartet, percussion, vocals, ukulele, and electronics. Works presented are all by living composers, including the group’s very own Kurt Fedde and Matthew Cox.

Backstage Pass is a monthly live performance program that gives listeners the backstage experience of meeting local and visiting artists. Backstage Pass with Sound ExChange repeats Sunday, November 2 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5.
