Full-Time, Non-Exempt - 40 hours


    1. Assist in development and implementation of outward facing digital properties under direction of Interactive Services to promote WXXI mission and goals.
    2. Implement and maintain current best practices for Drupal CMS platform. Knowledge and familiarity with Pantheon Hosting Environment, Terminus and Drush a plus.
    3. Multi-Task various projects originating from Interactive Services, including providing analytics, troubleshooting, user assistance, and site maintenance.
    4. Advise and assist/train various departmental staff on best practices to increase community engagement with our digital assets.
    5. Provide support for WXXI Underwriting Department with Google DFP (Google Ads) placement over various properties.
    6. Assist departments with maintenance, implementation and distribution of digital media and content via e-newsletters (Constant Contact and MailChimp), podcasts, social media, online video/audio on the web.
    7. Assist in converting, editing and preparing digital assets from existing productions and for use in online projects, digital distribution, social media, or other various online platforms.
    8. Assist with development, implementation, promotion, training, and ongoing moderation for organization-wide intranet site to be built in Microsoft SharePoint.
    9. Support creation of digital media elements for WXXI’s educational collection of media learning assets distributed through PBS LearningMedia and other platforms sourced from existing production and web-only productions.
    10. Assist with troubleshooting user issues of WXXI Interactive Services by end-users.
    11. Other duties, as assigned.


    • Bachelor’s Degree and Appropriate Experience


    This position works in a team environment, serving internal and external clients and collaborates with all other areas of WXXI.  This position also develops and strengthens outside partnerships with viewers, stations, educational institutions, and the community.

    • Experience with web programming languages: HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, and Javascript. (Knowledge of Drupal 8, GIT usage, and TWIG programming a plus).
    • Experience or working knowledge of Constant Contact and MailChimp.
    • Experience or working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google DPF/Adwords, and other metric programs a plus.
    • Knowledge of computers, media and technology as it pertains to job requirements and interest in learning and troubleshooting new technologies, software and systems necessary to service offerings using best practices and current standards.
    • Experience with use and implementation of intranet websites, especially using Microsoft SharePoint, is a plus.
    • Ability to work comfortably on both Mac and PC platforms. (Comfortability with command line usage in Linux/Ubuntu/Mac necessary.)
    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audience.
    • Excellent coordination, organizational, and project management skills.
    • Flexibility with regard to schedule and work assignments.
    • Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills and strong attention-to-detail.
    • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
