Today the vote for a new Pope begins; we’ll talk about the process, its history and its possible outcomes with theologian and church historian Christine Bochen of Nazareth College

Rochester Police Chief James Sheppard; how we’ll reduce our community’s violent crime rate, and whether tougher gun laws may help

Regent Emeritus Dr. Walter Cooper discusses issues from educational policy, to the troubles in Mali where Rochester has a sister city in that troubled nation’s capital, Bamako (rescheduled from 3/6)

 

Thursday 3/14

Hr. 1

In the first portion of the hour we speak with RIT’s Caroline Easton and visiting scholar Gail Gilchrist on new approaches to reducing family violence. Then we talk with Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner, who will speak to the Reshaping Rochester forum next week, about Syracuse’s efforts to reshape its future and what we can learn from it

A Walk Through History; Marilyn Nolte, president of  the Friends of Mt. Hope, previews tonight’s screening of a special documentary on Rochester’s oldest cemetery and its role in the city’s history on our sister station WXXI-TV

 

Friday 3/15 (Healthy Friday)

Elissa Orlando hosts a two hour discussion of issues involving personal health and wellbeing.
