Dwight Gould, RIT graduate and CEO of Aviatech LLC, joins us ahead of his J. Warren McClure marketing lecture at RIT Thursday night. Then, we talk with Rabbi Simeon Kolko and Bulent Odzimir, executive director of the Peace Islands Institute of Upstate New York, about their attempt to launch a new interfaith collaboration between conservative Jewish congregations and the Turkish-American community.

Mayor Tom Richards joins us; he’ll be joined by environmental services commissioner Paul Holahan to discuss the launch of Operation Clean Sweep.

Our guests include new festival producer Jeff Springut, Visit Rochester CEO Don Jeffries, Monroe County parks director Larry Staub and chief horticulturist Mark Quinn, who'll tell us if the lilacs will be in bloom on time. We’ll also check in with NPR’s Peter Sagal, host of Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me!, about his show’s move to the big screen. There’s a live WWDTM! Broadcast coming to three local movie theaters on Thursday, and Peter will tell us all about it.

Best-selling author Cheryl Strayed joins us to talk about her memoir Wild and her book Tiny Perfect Things, a collection of her "Dear Sugar" advice columns. She's in town for a reading and conversation hosted by SUNY Brockport.

Then, we talk with author Anne Serling about her new memoir about her life with her late father, “Twilight Zone” creator Rod Serling.

Friday 5/3 – Arts Friday; guest hosts Brenda Tremblay (hour 1) and Mona Seghatoleslami (hour 2)

Ned Corman talks about his memoir "Now's the Time: A Story of Music, Education, and Advocacy"; Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem, denouncing war and honoring the fallen, will be presented by the Eastman School this evening. Professor Anderson explores music as a tool to end violence.

A look at the impact of melody, harmony, and rhythm on children and adults with physical, communication, emotional and cognitive disabilities. Guests are Betsey King, Nazareth College Associate Professor of Music Therapy and Maria Battista-Hancock, Hochstein School Chair of Music Therapy.
