Celebrating Susan B. Anthony

Susan B. AnthonyWomen have been breaking new barriers this year: Nancy Pelosi is the first woman to be Speaker of the House; Louise Slaughter is the first women to chair the important House Rules Committee; and Hillary Clinton is the first First Lady to run for President. It's hard to imagine those advancements being made without the work of Susan B. Anthony. Susan B's work on other causes helped pave the way her contributions in suffrage movement -- those causes being temperance and abolition.
