PBS NewsHour Debates 2008: A Special Report, Presidential Debate 1
Friday, September 26 at 9 p.m.
Jim Lehrer, of PBS’ NewsHour, moderates the first presidential debate between Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama, live from the University of Mississippi, Oxford, Mississippi. The debate focuses on domestic issues. Analysis from The NewsHour team anchored by Ray Suarez with David Brooks and Mark Shields follows. PBS NewsHour Debates 2008: A Special Report, Presidential Debate 1 airs Friday, September 26 at 9 p.m on WXXI-TV 21 (cable 11) and WXXI-HD (cable 1011 and DT 21.1). The debate is also simulcast on NPR stations nationally and locally on AM 1370 and WXXI-FM HD 91.5-2.
