Endowment Opportunities

An endowed gift to WXXI will support our mission in perpetuity. The principal of your endowment contribution will be managed to ensure a maximum stable return to WXXI. A portion of the interest will be used for the purpose you designate and the rest of the interest will be reinvested to assure growth of the fund to meet future needs.

There are many ways you can provide endowment support: through an outright gift; a bequest; a life income gift; or by making WXXI the beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan.

If you would like to designate that your gift be used for endowment purposes you may choose to:

• Add your gift to WXXI’s General Endowment Fund where it will allow the station to support the programming and services you enjoy, meet new and emerging needs or provide the resources to manage unusual situations as they arise. This can be the equivalent of providing your membership support forever.
  

If you want to figure out what size gift will permanently endow your membership support just multiply the annual amount you would like to provide WXXI by 20. For example an annual membership gift of $250 requires a $5,000 endowment; a $500 annual membership gift would need $10,000; and a $100,000 endowment would provide $5,000 annually.

• Name your endowed fund to honor or memorialize someone special to you. This is an opportunity to create an enduring remembrance while also supporting WXXI’s mission.
