The weekly program of choral and organ music now being aired by more than 100 radio stations in 35 states across the United States. The host and producer of the series is British-born Richard Gladwell, a veteran broadcaster. During his lifetime, he has amassed a collection of about 7,500 recordings of choirs and organs from around the world, which he shares with his listeners. With Heart and Voice covers a wide spectrum of Western sacred music, with brief organ selections offered between choral works. Gladwell, who receives letters and calls from listeners asking musical advice or information, provides brief commentary on the selections.

Fascinatin' Rhythm explores the history and themes of American popular music from Stephen Foster to Stephen Sondheim. These weekly "radio essays," illustrated by recordings, won the 1994 George Foster Peabody Award for letting "our treasury of popular tunes speak (and sing) for itself with sparkling commentary tracing the contributions of the composers and performers to American society." The Peabody citation called Fascinatin' Rhythm "a celebration of American culture." The program originates from WXXI-Classical 91.5.

Hochstein School of Music

Live from Hochstein is the longest running live broadcast concert series in Western New York. Each week performances by the finest artists from the Rochester area’s musical community. The programs range from soloists and chamber ensembles to large orchestras and choirs. The broadcasts are presented as free "brown bag" concerts, where people can spend their lunch hour enjoying classical music performed by local artists.
