About: Book Some Time

Book Some Time spots air on WXXI and feature children's authors talking about the importance of reading to children. The goal of these literacy spots is to help the parents, guardians, and families of young children realize the importance of developing children’s early literacy skills and to inspire a love of reading in youngsters.  These spots are geared towards adults caring for children between the ages of 2-8 years old. The are part of our Ready To Learn daily broadcasts of 11.5 hours a day of educational children's programming.

You can also view the spots online. Messages for children related to reading and learning are promoted through non-commercial video breaks aired between PBS Kids television programs.
