Teacher Guide: Instructional & Environmental Modifications
Learning Context | Procedure| Instructional Modifications |
Time Required | Resources | Assessment PlanCreate groups with a variety of learning styles and abilities.
Arrange the room so that students can gather in small groups and access resources easily for the cooperative learning activity.
Arrange time in a computer lab with Internet access for reviewing the web materials and simulation game.
Provide Equipment: Computers, Internet access or TV/VCRs may be needed for presentations and discussion of simulation.
If Internet access is not available for the class throughout the project, many of the resource materials may be printed. The simulation can be worked out on paper. Students can figure out percentages easily, since the simulation is based on 100 blocks.
Teachers can allot class time for students to present their projects during a class period or show the projects as tabletop displays or exhibits.
