Saturday, January 9 at 1 p.m. – The Met Opera Presents Der Rosenkavalier
(Rochester, NY) – The Met Opera presents Strauss’s comic masterpiece of love and intrigue in 18th-century. Starring Rochester native Renée Fleming as the aristocratic Marschallin and Susan Graham in the trouser role of her young lover. Edo de Waart conducts a cast that also includes Kristinn Sigmundsson and Thomas Allen.
The Met Opera presents Der Rosenkavalier airs Saturday, January 9 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5/FM-HD91.5-1. It's also being simulcast as part of The Met: Live in HD, and can be seen at Tinseltown IMAX Theatre 17 and Regal Eastview. For more information, call the theatre directly.
