Friday, September 16 at 1 p.m. – Backstage Pass with Publick Musick
(Rochester, NY) – Backstage Pass host Julia Figueras welcomes musicians from The Publick Musick to the studio on Friday, September 16 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5/FM-HD 91.5-1. After being on hiatus for a time, TPM returned to Rochester's music scene under its new Music Director, Henry Lebedinsky.
Originally founded in 1995, Publick Musick produces and presents vibrant, historically informed performances of music from 1600 to 1800, including rarely-performed repertoire by women composers, as well as composers of non-European origin. Under the direction of historical keyboardist and conductor Henry Lebedinsky, Publick Musick presents exciting and family-friendly concerts featuring local, regional, and national artists and ensembles performing on period instruments.
Backstage Pass is a live, hour-long radio series that is committed to highlighting performing artists – giving Classical 91.5/90.3/FM-HD 91.5-1 listeners the opportunity to hear local and visiting musicians performing live. The series is made possible in part by a grant from the Gouvernet Arts Fund at Rochester Area Community Foundation.
This Backstage Pass program will repeat Sunday, September 18 at 2 p.m.on Classical 91.5.
