(Rochester, NY) – Classical 91.5/FM-HD91.5-1 presents The Gilmore Keyboard Festival, a weekly radio series airing Wednesdays at 8 p.m., beginning October 20. The largest gathering of keyboard artists in North America, The Gilmore Keyboard Festival has become a leading American festival known around the world for celebrating the joy and power of keyboard music in concerts, lectures, master classes and films. The series presents an insider’s look into the music, guided by such luminaries as 2010 Gilmore Artist Kirill Gerstein, Ingrid Fliter, Ann Schein, Louis Lortie, Gilbert Kalish, and others. From solo piano to chamber music, period harpsichord performances to concertos performed with the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, the Gilmore Festival gives an exciting look at the expansive piano repertoire.
Every two years The Gilmore, set in western Michigan, presents more than two weeks of superb piano performances--more than 100 events celebrating the joy and power of keyboard music in concerts, lectures, master classes and films.
