(Rochester, NY) – Classical 91.5 is pleased to add Lyric Opera of Chicago to its Saturday afternoon line up. The Met Opera radio broadcast series ends Saturday, May 8 and the Lyric Opera will take its place. Founded in 1954, the Lyric Opera is one of the world's greatest opera companies. It is renowned internationally for its artistic excellence and financial strength. This year The Matthew Bucksbaum Family presents eight operas from the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Regarded as one of the top three opera companies in the United States, over the past two decades the company has achieved unparalleled success in its ticket sales averaging 100% attendance from 1988-2002. Lyric Opera of Chicago airs Saturdays at 1 p.m. beginning May 15 on Classical 91.5/FM-HD91.5-2.
